i bought another one size up

I LOVE THIS dress...conditionally. I am 5'8", ~128lbs, broad shoulders, 36-24-36, big rib cage, short waist, 36D...I bough a small because I didn't want to be swimming in it but I forgot that it had no stretch. It needs to be ironed, and altered. The halter straps and length are awkward. The chest buttoned all the way up is at MOST 35 inches around, NO stretch. Instead of returnng and exchanging for a medium, I'm keeping the small, having it tailored by having the sides cut out, the halter straps minimalized, some more buttons added so that I can button on an angle if I unbutton 2, and am having the length shortened.

BUT THE ROMANCE OF THIS DRESS. SWOON. So I bought another in medium.
